Terms of service
Last updated 24 August 2026
These terms cover two different people: the employer who runs a hiring drive on Walkezin, and the candidate who applies through one. Where a section applies to only one of them, it says so.
What Walkezin is
Walkezin is a platform for running walk-in hiring drives. It screens candidates against the rules an employer sets, issues queue tokens and manages the interview queue at a venue.
Walkezin is not an employer, a recruiter or a staffing agency. It does not select candidates, does not guarantee anyone a job or an interview, and takes no part in the employment relationship that may follow. Hiring decisions belong entirely to the employer.
For candidates
Applying is free. You will never be asked to pay Walkezin anything to apply, attend a drive, or receive a result. If anyone asks you for money in connection with a drive on this platform, do not pay, and tell us at support@walkezin.in.
You must give accurate information and upload your own resume. Applying on someone else’s behalf, or with invented qualifications, may mean your token is cancelled at the venue.
A token holds your place in the queue. It is not an offer of employment, and it is not a promise that you will be interviewed — a drive can close early, a role can be filled, or an employer can stop for its own reasons.
If you are found not eligible, the platform tells you the reason where the employer has chosen to make that rule visible. You may ask the employer to look again. Nothing here stops you applying to that employer through any other route.
For employers
You may use Walkezin only for genuine recruitment for roles you are actually hiring for. Using it to collect resumes or personal data without a real vacancy is a serious breach of these terms and of India’s data protection law, and we will suspend an account for it — which stops every live drive on that account from accepting candidates immediately.
Your account must be verified before you can publish a drive. We may ask for registration details and may decline or revoke verification.
You are responsible for:
- the eligibility rules you configure, and whether they are lawful — criteria that discriminate on caste, religion, sex, marital status, pregnancy or disability are your liability, not ours;
- what you tell candidates about the role, the salary and the venue;
- who at your organisation you give access to, including panel PINs;
- the accuracy of any decision your reviewers make manually.
Candidate data reaches you because a candidate consented to share it with you for this drive. You may use it to assess that application and for the retention period described in the privacy policy. You may not sell it, pass it to another employer, or use it for anything unrelated to hiring.
Fees and billing
A drive is charged as a plan: a flat fee covering a set number of interview panels, with each panel beyond that charged separately. Panels are counted across every round — a two-round drive running two panels in each round is four panels, because that is four rooms the platform is queueing for.
You are charged when you publish a drive, which is the point the QR code goes live and candidates can begin applying. Adding a panel after publishing adds its fee; removing one takes it off again. The number of candidates you screen does not change what you pay.
Your rates are the ones agreed in writing with you; where none are agreed, the standard published rates apply. Charges are visible in your account at any time and can be downloaded as a statement.
Usage statements are not tax invoices. Invoicing and payment are handled separately by arrangement.
Availability
A hiring drive is a single day, and the platform is used at a venue where connectivity is often poor. We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we do not promise a specific uptime figure unless it is written into a separate agreement with you.
Employers should be able to run a drive on paper if they have to. We recommend printing the QR poster and keeping a manual queue list as a fallback.
Data protection
For candidate applications, the employer is the Data Fiduciary and Walkezin acts as its Data Processor. How data is handled, where it is stored, who it is shared with and how long it is kept are set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Candidate data is retained for 24 months after a drive unless a shorter period is agreed with you. Candidates may ask for access, correction or erasure at any time.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend an employer account where we believe a drive is not genuine, where candidate data is being misused, or where fees are unpaid. Suspension stops live drives from accepting candidates at once, so we will contact you first unless candidates are at immediate risk.
You may stop using the platform at any time. Data is dealt with under the retention terms in the privacy policy.
Liability
Walkezin provides screening and queue tooling. We are not liable for hiring decisions, for a candidate’s travel or time, for a role that is withdrawn, or for anything said or done by an employer at a venue.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to an employer in connection with the platform is limited to the fees that employer paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects employers, we will give notice by email before it takes effect. For candidates, the version in force is the one published when you apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction.
